F1. Categories

  1. Short Class (under 5'7")

  2. Tall Class (over 5'7"), may change at weigh ins

  3. Height categories may be adjusted by the chief judge at registration depending on the number of competitors and the differing heights.

  4. There are no junior or senior divisions in fitness for this year or this particular show.

F2. Assessment Criteria

  1. 1/4 Turns - Chief Judge will direct competitors to complete turns to the right.

    1. Shape - genetically determined structure of entire physique. This shape will lead to proportions and symmetry. Over-muscularity will be marked down.

    2. Flexibility - at least 3 movements per entire routine

    3. Athletic Coordination

    4. Personality - determined by stage presence

    5. Style

    6. Choreography

    7. Overall - Performance

    8. Cardiovascular Endurance

    9. Attire

F3. Pre-Judging Format

  1. 1/4 Turns

    1. All contestants shall be called on stage in numerical order in their two-piece bikini with footwear, (color and style left to the discretion of the athlete).

      Competitors shall stand with their left foot in front of their right foot and with their body slightly angled towards the front of the stage, arms at their sides, head, eyes, and shoulders square with the judges.

    2. The Chief Judge will direct the comparison of the quarter turns..

      At the discretion of the Chief Judge, he/she may call for a quarter turn comparisons as an entire line-up or may require smaller groups no more than three (3) athletes in a group..

      All competitors will be compared. The judges will be scoring for degree of athleticism by assessing shape, symmetry, proportion, firmness, tone and overall physical appearance including complexion, poise and overall presentation.

      Over muscularity will be marked down. After the completion of comparisons the athletes, starting with the highest applicable competitor number, shall then circle to the right, across the stage so as to be in reverse numerical order for the judges

  2. Routine Round

    1. All athletes will perform their two-minute choreographed aerobic/dance routine, depending on time and number of athletes.

    2. The Chief Official reserves the right to amend this format contingent on number of athletes per class.

F4. Finals Format

  1. 1/4 Turns & Comparisons

    1. All athletes in each class shall be called out on stage in numerical order in their two-piece swimsuit with footwear, (style, and color left to the discretion of the athlete).

      This round will be used mainly as an introduction for the athlete to the audience, and for the judges to assess Round One placing from pre-judging.

      Competitors are to stand in this round with their feet together and shoulders square to the judges.

    2. The Chief Judge shall then direct the comparisons of quarter turns.

      At the discretion of the Chief Judge, he/she may call for quarter turn comparisons as an entire line-up or may require smaller groups of no more than three (3) athletes in a group.

      All competitors will be compared. The judges will be scoring for degree of athleticism by assessing shape, symmetry, proportion, firmness, tone ,and overall physical appearance including complexion, poise and overall presentation.

      Over-muscularity will be marked down. After the completion of comparisons the athlete starting with the highest applicable competitor number, shall then circle to the right, across the stage followed by the next athlete so as to position themselves on stage in reverse numerical order

  2. Routine Round

    1. All athletes will perform their two-minute choreographed aerobic/dance routine, depending on time and number of athletes.

    2. The Chief Official reserves the right to amend this format contingent on number of athletes per class.

F5. Routines

  1. Each athlete will perform a maximum two (2) minute aerobic/dance routine. Judges will be looking for style, personality, athletic coordination, strength, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, and overall performance. Special attention should be given to apparel as it too will be judged.

  2. The routine may include elements of dance, aerobics, gymnastics, and cardiovascular endurance, but there are no required movements.

  3. The routine must show a minimum of at least three (3) definite strength and three (3) definite flexibility movements.

  4. Limited usage of props and costumes shall be permitted.

  5. All props and wears must be approved and inspected by a designated Chief Judging Official prior to the commencement of the event. Time will be arranged at the Registration Event.

F6. Awards

  1. Prizes worth $150 will be awarded for 1st place in each category.

  2. Prizes worth $100 will be awarded for 2nd place in each category.

  3. Prizes worth $75 will be awarded for 3rd place in each category.

  4. Trophies will be given to the top three competitors in each category.

F7. Notes

  1. Please read through all rules and regulations for bodybuilding as they all equally apply to fitness except for the judging criteria and costumes.

  2. Use of oil is prohibited due to the type of routines being performed. All fitness routines and compulsories will be done before all bodybuilding classes for the morning and evening shows.
